November, 2012: Jane Furnier writes about camp in the '50s and the great hurricaine of 1955:

"Playing around on the Internet I decided to look up Tegawitha again as I
have in the past only to finally find your page, it brought back so many happy memories.

I was a camper from 1952 -1957.. Loved every minute of it! My first 2 years I only went for the month of August first in Wild Iris(I think), the second in Buttercup and the final 2 years for the whole summer in Marigold, then as a CIT. I was on the Blue team and remember all those dress parade drills song contest practices.

I remember the year there was the hurricane and we spent several days reading Gone With the Wind to each other as we had to stay in the cabin, and then because the trains were out, parents had to come up from NY and Philadelphia to take us home."

Thanks for writing, Jane, and hope to receive any photos you may have to add to the 50s page!
